Rousseau's Hockey Clinic is proud to be sponsored by ... |
Spring Adult Woman's Clinics It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our Spring 2010 Adult Woman' s Hockey Clinic. We began offering Adult hockey
clinics eight years ago and have had the pleasure
of skating with several adult players who were either brand new to hockey or rekindling a past love for the game. 2010 will mark our 24th season, and we have been very successful in altering our practice plans for adult players. Our program continues to evolve and we have improved our plans for 2010.
Hockey is a great form of exercise and adult leagues and pickup games for all ability levels are sprouting up across central and southern Maine. If you have never played, our clinic will provide a great introduction to the game. If you are returning to the game
or are currently playing, our clinic will provide
you with improved skills and an improved understanding of the game. In
either
case, our clinic is proven to help players improve their skills and better enjoy playing hockey.
Our adult Woman's clinics are intended for beginner and novice level players. It is designed for adult women looking to improve their overall hockey skills. The curriculum in our Basic Skills Clinic will focus on proper power skating technique, puck control, and passing skills. The clinic begins on Thursday March 11 and
will skate for six consecutive Thursday evenings at the
Ingersoll Arena in Auburn. The start time is 7:30 PM.
The clinic will include six, two-hour ice sessions. The first hour of ice time will consist of a practice session focused on skill development. During the second hour of ice time, we will conduct a controlled scrimmage where we will concentrate on increasing the speed of play while offering individual instruction in between shifts. Each session will also include a fifteen-minute "Chalk Talk" during which essential game concepts are introduced.
This clinic will also feature instruction for goaltenders. We will have a goalie coach at each session in order to offer specific instruction to goalies.
The cost of
the Adult Woman's clinic is $220.00, which includes twelve hours of ice time, a high quality jersey, and over one-hundred-years of experience in developing hockey players. This program promises to be a great workout and a great deal of fun. A deposit of $100.00 is due with your application, and the balance is due by the first session. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis and space is limited to thirty skaters and three goaltenders.
This program promises to be a great workout and a great deal of fun. We encourage you not to hesitate in returning your application; our clinics fill quickly, and we are often forced to return applications.
