Our Instructors

 

Guy Rousseau has been teaching ice hockey for more than 40 years. He is Master Level certified through the USA Hockey Coaching Achievement Program and has coached many class "A" state championship teams at the squirt, pee-wee, and bantam levels. He also led one of those teams to the national tournament.

 

Gary Rousseau began the clinic along with his dad in 1986. He has been instrumental in the development of Rousseau's Hockey Clinic and has been committed to the constant refinement of our on ice program as well as the overall quality of our product. He is Master Level certified through the USA Hockey Coaching Achievement Program and has coached all levels of youth hockey. Gary has coached Maine teir I travel at the Squirt, Pee-Wee and Bantam levels and in 2002 led a Bantam team to a national tournament.  Gary is currently instructing the mini-mite level in Lewiston.

 

Scott Rousseau started his coaching career with youth teams in Schenectady, NY in 1995. Since returning to Maine in 1997, he has been the Head Coach at Falmouth High School, leading the Yachtsmen to four regular season titles and four Western Maine Finals. Scott was named Coach of the Year in both 2001 and 2002.

 

Don Boucher joined our staff as a Senior Instructor in 1997. He has been teaching ice hockey for more than fifteen years and has coached at all levels of youth hockey, leading Tier I team to a state championship, and has had the privilege of coaching Maine Select Teams in the New England District Tournaments. Don is also very active in the Maine "Girls" ice hockey program having held the position of Head Coach of the Maine Select U12 Girls team and head coach for the Maine Select U16 Girls team.

 

Marc Roy joined us in 2000 as a Senior Instructor. He has been coaching ice hockey for more than fifteen years and was head coach for the Hebron Academy girls Ice Hockey program. Under Marc's guidance, the Hebron girls team won the inaugural Howard Invitational Ice Hockey Tournament at St. Georges School in Newport Rhode Island. Marc was also on the coaching staff for Team New England at the Chicago Showcase. He has his advanced Level Certification through USA Hockey and has coached both girls and boys youth hockey at both the house and select levels and has won several state championships.

 

John Racine joined our program in 1999 as a senior instructor and is a key contributor to the success of our goaltender programs. John has been coaching since 1988, with a focus on training goaltenders. He has worked with all levels including the Major Junior level. Further, John is an active Ice Hockey official for the past 20 years.

 

Jim Lebrun has been teaching ice hockey for more than 15 years and joined our staff as a Senior Instructor in 1996. He has coached all levels of youth hockey at both the Tier I and Tier II levels and continues to be very active as a coach. Jim is especially effective with our younger students and is a valued member of our staff.

 

Andy Guerin joined our program as a senior instructor in 1999. He has been teaching ice hockey for more than fifteen years and has coached all levels of youth hockey, including Maine tier I at the Squirt, Pee-Wee and Bantam levels. Andy lead two teams to Maine Tier I state championships and, in 2002, helped lead a Bantam team to a national tournament.

 

Scott Masse joined our staff in 1998. He has been coaching hockey for more then eight years at all levels of youth hockey and coached a Maine tier II squirt team to a regional tournament. He has his advanced Level Certification through USA Hockey. Scott is currently coaching in the Waterville youth hockey program.

 

Jeff Lee joined our program as an Instructor in 1999. He is Level 4 Advance Certified through the U.S.A. Hockey Coaching Achievement Program. He was the Assistant Varsity Coach at Waterville High School in 1979-1980 and Assistant Varsity Coach at Lawrence High School in 1981-1982. Jeff began coaching Waterville Youth Hockey in 1982 and has continued to do so for the past 22 years. He has coached at all levels from Atoms up to Midgets. Jeff is currently coaching in the Waterville youth hockey program.

 

John Delgiudice became a goalie instructor with Rousseau's Hockey Clinic in 2002. Further, he was instrumental in the development of our "Dryland Training" programs. John coached high school for 10 years at Messalonskee High School in Oakland, Maine where he had 2 Eastern Maine Semi-Final appearances. John has been coaching youth hockey in Waterville for the past 11 years and is currently coaching in Waterville Area Youth Hockey serving as the association’s goalie coach and assisting at all travel levels.

 

Mike Fellows joined our staff in 2003 as a goaltender instructor and was instrumental in the development of our goaltender program. Although Mike is relatively new to coaching, he is a passionate and knowledgeable goalie instructor and a valuable member of our staff.

 

Rodney Lane has been coaching with the Mid-Coast youth hockey organization for ten years at the Mite and Squirt level, and is also involved as a girls youth hockey coach.  Rodney is certified through USA hockey and has been an instructor at Rousseau's Hockey Clinic since 2001.

 

Bob Davis has coach for 9 years at the Maine High School Varsity level with Yarmouth High School and Biddeford High School, achieving one State Championship, two "Coach of the Year" awards, and two "Maine State Principals Associations Sportsmanship" awards. Bob has worked as a coach with the Biddeford youth hockey organization and is currently coaching with the Maine Renegade program. Bob joined our staff in 2003 as an instructor.

 

Michael O'Brien joined our staff in 2003 as a goalie instructor. He started his coaching career in 1988 and has been involved at all youth levels and high school. He was the assistant/goaltending coach for two Maine Select Midget Tier 1 teams that went to the Nationals, and was the goalie coach for a state championship team at Yarmouth High School. He brings more than 30 years of goaltending experience and a passion for the position to our program. Michael is currently the goaltending coach at North Yarmouth Academy, and works with the Biddeford youth hockey organization.

 

Matt Lavallee is one of the original students of Rousseau's Hockey Clinic and we were fortunate to have him join our Staff as an instructor in 2003.  Matt has been working with the Lewiston Youth Hockey program for the past four years. He has a deep knowledge and passion for hockey and will be a key member of our staff. He grew up playing with our philosophy and is very effective in motivating young players to achieve their full potential on and off the ice.

 

Mike Bisson joined our program in 2002 and has been an integral part of the instructional portion of the Rousseau program.  He began in youth hockey and was coached for some years by Guy Rousseau learning the tradition and passion of hockey.  Since 2003, Mike has been a leader for instructional youth hockey in the Lewiston area.  Mike has become a true student of the game and a valued member of our staff.

 

Eric Desjardins was a student in one of our first clinics and participated as a goaltender.  Eric joined our staff in 2004 and is one of our talented and dedicated goalie intructors.  Eric has been coaching ice hockey since 1999 and worked goalie clinics in Arizona, was head JV coach varsity goalie coach at Edward Little high school.  Eric is currently coaching in the Lewiston Youth Hockey organization. 

 

Mike Dozois was another of our original students in the Mid 1980's.  Mike began coaching youth hockey in 2002 and is currently coaching in the Lewiston Youth Hockey organization.  Mike joined our program as an instructor in 2005.

 

Chris Pellerin began his coaching career in 1993 in Boulder Colorado coaching women's intramural ice hockey.  In 2004 Chris became certified with USA Hockey and assisted in coaching the Atom's division of the Lewiston Youth Hockey Organization. He is currently coaching the LAYHL Mini Mites for the 2005-2006 season.  Chris joined our program as an instructor in 2004.
 

Lane Feldman joined our program in 2006.  He began coaching youth hockey since 1994 in Stowe, Vt. with the Vermont womans under 17 select team, and the boys mite and squirt teams.  Upon returning to Maine, Lane has coached with the Maine Select teams and has been and key contributor the the Lewiston Youth hockey progam in the Atoms and Mini-Mite levels.  Lane shares our philosophy and has extensive knowledge in teaching the game.
